We are Malapata Studio, a spanish indie videogame studio. We are developing Camper Van: Make it Home, a videogame that takes care of every detail to immerse you in the vanlife experience.

History

Early history

We met at the Digital Content Pole in Malaga. The project grew in the Go2Work pre-incubation program. There we devised the videogame, we studied exhaustively how to create a videogame that represent the union between what the public wants and what we can develop, thanks to market research.When the idea was built and it had some solidity we started to develop it. This is how Camper Van: Make it Home was born.

After that

Camper Van: Make it Home is a game about camperizing vans. Embark on a journey of personal discovery while decorating your van and creating a space for all your belongings. Part block-fitting puzzle, part home decoration. Zen game mechanics without timers, meters or scores. Create a space as creative as it is useful to organize all your belongings. Discover the story of a character through the objects that accompany her. You start with an empty van in a charming destination. The game invites you to camperize the van. You can add as many pieces of furniture as space allows. Once furnished, your goal will be to store and sort all the traveler's belongings, which will be available in a pack list. Not only is it possible to decorate the space inside the van, but also the exterior is customizable. You will be able to move on to the next mission when all the objects in the pack list have been put in the right place. Thanks to the objects in the traveler's baggage we will find a story of personal discovery. The protagonist leaves behind a comfortable life to enter a nomadic, more natural and environmentally aware life. We will discover the experiences traveler goes through on each trip thanks to the objects that are carried, those that are collected, those that undergo changes, and those that are left behind.
